The Malko Competition, for young conductors under 35 years, is held in co-operation with DR Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Nordic Artists Management. Maestro Lorin Maazel is the president of the jury, and will be mentor for the winner. The first prize will be €20,000 and 21 concerts with leading Nordic symphony orchestras. The deadline for applications is 1 October 2011.
